First Childrens' Cancer Hospital for Kenya

child with drawing

The Shoe4Africa foundation is leading an initiative to provide the first children’s cancer hospital in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Currently nine out of ten children diagnosed with cancers are dying in Kenya, and indeed in sub-Saharan Africa. That statistic is one out of ten in the western world - the exact opposite.

This will be a new building designed specifically for kids with cancers only, designed with total isolation to help save hundreds of children's lives in Kenya.

50 mile challenge for charity

At MHH International we are keen to help. We want to raise £1,000 to help complete the Shoe4Africa Juli Anne Perry Children’s Cancer Hospital in Eldoret, Kenya. . To do this we will run 50 miles between now and 24 December. Our company has close links to Kenya and we feel improving the lives of so many children in Kenya is a very important cause.

Olympians Equator Relay

On 24th December, Paula Radcliffe (Olympic gold medalist marathon runner) will lead a group of runners including the world’s greatest marathoner, Eluid Kipchoge, and reigning 800m Olympic Champion Emmanuel Korir, on a 50-mile relay from the equator to the site of the new hospital where the ground breaking ceremony will take place.

All of the funds raised will be going to support the new Shoe4Africa Juli Anne Perry Children’s Cancer Hospital in Eldoret. This will be the first ever children's cancer hospital in sub-Saharan Africa, private or public.

Many thanks Alistair, Rowan & Chris.
