New Cars

New cars are allowed to be imported into Fiji. We recommend that you read the differences in import duty and luxury tax and ECAL before you confirm on the car you would like to import.

Age Restrictions:

Unleaded petrol and diesel cars must not be older than 5 years old. For Electric, Hybrid, LPG and CNG cars must be no more than 8 years old.

Import Restrictions:

Individuals may import two vehicles per year. Fiji customs will grant special permissions if required

Required Documents:

Agricultural Clearance, Passport, Commercial Invoice, De-registration Certificate, Invoice Showing Export Costs, Invoice Showing Freight Costs and Insurance, Bill of Lading, Odometer Reading at Time of Sale, Odometer Reading at Time of Import.
