How long does it take to import a UK car to Zambia?

Importing a UK car to Zambia takes about 33 days. This counts from the moment your car is collected in the UK to the moment it reaches the port in either Walvis Bay ot Dar-es-Salaam. The shipping timing to Walvis Bay and Dar-Es-Salaam is between 18-20 days from the UK.

The car export timings breakdown as follows:

Day 1: Car inspected, collected and transported to our office.

Days 2-8: Shipping booked, modifications completed, transported to the UK port.

Car import restrictions for UK cars to Zambia

There is no age restriction for vehicles being imported into Zambia. The Zambia Bureau of Standards (ZABS) require the vehicle to pass the roadworthiness inspection prior to export from the UK or Japan. This is conducted by Jevic and will arranged as part of our pre-export preparation. Do remember to arrange insurance for your vehicle from the point it reaches either Dar-Es-Salaam Port or from the moment your clearing agent transfers your car to you.
