Did You Know That Every Mhh International Car Will Have An Hpi Check Prior To Us Selling It To You?
An HPI check can identify if a vehicle has outstanding finance, is stolen, written off or clocked and it includes mileage info. If we find any unwanted history on a vehicle, we will not consider buying it. We make the followng 6 independent inspections on all our cars.
1. HPI Checks
HPI exists to help combat vehicle fraud. They check the car’s history on the most important safety, security and financial risks including all of the following:
- Reported to the Police as stolen
- Outstanding finance against the vehicle
- Insurance theft
- Previous plate transfers
- Cloning
2. National Mileage Register
HPI also operates the National Mileage Register ® (NMR), containing over 125 million recorded mileages. HPI cross-references all mileages previously recorded against the vehicle along with the mileage we provide, and advises us whether a discrepancy has been identified.
3. VCAR Check
VCAR is the vehicle condition alert register in the UK. If the car appears on the register it means that the car has been an accident write-off. The VCAR status remains with the vehicle for the rest of its life, regardless of it being repaired and checked to be of a safe standard. We would not purchase a vehicle that appears on the VCAR register unless expressly instructed by yourself.
4. MOT Certificate
The MOT test checks that vehicles meet road safety and environmental standards and is mandatory for the all UK cars from 3 years of age. The certificate confirms that at the time of the test, without dismantling it, the vehicle met the minimum acceptable environmental and road safety standards required by UK law.
For example, the body and vehicle structure inspection ensures that the vehicle is free from excessive corrosion or damage in specific areas and there are no sharp edges likely to cause injury. The image below shows the areas that are inspected for a vehicle to pass the MOT inspection.
All MHH International cars will have a valid MOT certificate at the time of purchase.
