Audi R8 Spyder as speed
Sometimes, a car comes along that takes the breath away. Literally. Audi have taken the most powerful engine ever destined for series production to raise the tempo in what is already one of the most intoxicating driving machines offered by the brand – the open-air, high intensity R8 Spyder. This already awesome convertible is to adopt the gloriously vocal 610PS (602bhp) V10 from the R8 V10 plus Coupé.
Audi A8 Mild-Hybrid 48 Volt Drivetrain
In a few short weeks Audi will officially announce the new 2018 flagship A8 and have already confirmed that all versions will be hybrid, advancing electrification on a broad front. The still to be confirmed combustion engines will be equipped with mild hybrid technology. What this means for the customer, say Audi, is refined running and enhanced performance whilst adding greater efficiency.

Volvo XC60 at speed
Back in 2008 after a few shaky years under the Ford banner, Volvo knew it had to create its own platform to make a success of their future cars. The solution the Swedish brand came up was with Scaleable Product Architecture. This made its debut with the XC90 SUV, followed by the S90, V90 and V90 Cross Country estates. The new and very impressive Volvo XC60 SUV, which is now available to order in the UK, follows with UK prices starting at £37,205 for the D4 AWD Momentum version.
